The Autograph Pages Thread

The awesome thing about these it that the characters then know my kids names and it is pretty easy to keep track of whose autographs we still need it is funny when we see a character multiple times and they have already signed - they always seem a little disappointed they don't get to sign!! We get comments from the CM's, the characters, other guests and Julia looks at her books ALL the time - I use them as her trip scrapbook and it is just perfect!!!! For our quick 4 day trip in May - instead of making the 6x6 pages - I went ahead and made them 4x6 - then I bought her the Happiest Celebration on Earth Princess album and put the cards in before the pictures of the character - again s he loves this book and looks at it all the time - if you think you are not inclined to scrapbook the pictures when you get home - I think this is a great option!!!!! To make the 6x6 cards - I buy a pack of 12x12 cardstock at Michaels - i wait until they are sale or use the 40% off coupon and then I cut them into 4 6x6 squares.

Welcome to TNF, mgtd! You'll have to post on the Introduce Yourself! Thread and tell us how you acquired your nickname! Imho, the 'autograph hound' business came into full flower sometime after the early/mid 1960's. Re: The Autograph Thread Originally Posted by Dom Heffner No the Zeppelin stuff is on separate pieces. I have made these kind of books too. You would be amazed at the interacaction from the characters. Pointing showing their names and pictures to the cm's. I just made a new one for my DD and my mother daughter trip coming up. It is her 8th bday, and first trip just the 2 of us have been on alone (we have 4 kids ) so she is very excited. On all her pages i have printed 'It's my 8th Birthday!

With mickey balloon ears' I really like the chip and dale one that has bday scribbled out and nutday written in! I've been asked to add the link to the pages I created in my photobucket account by another DDAer - so I hope you don't mind me sharing: I created these in photoimpact and they are sized to print as 6x4 - if you would like to print them out right click on the images and select save as - save them to your hard drive. Then open word and select insert pictures from file. You should end up with two images per sheet of A4. You can then print them out and cut them into 6x4 pieces. I bought a spiral bound notebook with cardstick pages and stuck the images in - Kate (Julia and Nicks Mom) takes her pages on a clipboard around the park and then scraps the autographs and photos after.

I think I like that idea better than sticking in a book beforehand but it worked for me. Here are a couple of my autograph pages. They are also 6x4. The only one that is done at this point is the Tigger page. I totally got the idea from Rosiejo's Seven Drawfs page. Thanks for the inspiration Rosiejo. The other pages (Mickey & Minnie) need some kind of border but I'm still learning PhotoImpact and haven't got the look I want yet.

I think I have sized them right but haven't tested yet. I'll add more to my site as I get them created. I am going to use Kate's (Julia & Nick's Mom) idea and keep them as separate pieces of cardstock. Then I can add them to my scrapbook page when I get home. I only carry a fanny pack with me in the parks (I only carry a wallet at home) and a clipboard would be too large to carry in that. So, I've cut out two heavy pieces of cardboard (from the back of one of my old notepads) a little larger than 6x4.

I'll use a binder clip to hold the pages together between these two while in the fanny pack. When I see a character, I'll put theirs on top and clip it back together so they have something hard to write on. I will also keep it in a ziploc bag per Kate's suggestion for those water rides and rainy days! I love this site.

So many cool ideas to keep my creative juices flowing. I started making some autograph pages myself. I really like RosieJo's, but I thought I'd give it a shot myself. We do one autograph book for all 3 of our kids so I'm putting Nicholas, Hunter and Colby across the top and Walt Disney World 2007 across the bottom. I worked all day on it today and made about 20 pages.

The weather here was absolutely horrible and the kids were home from school since the roads were very icy. I had planned to run errands, but since I couldn't I had time to be creative. It was a really good experience and I figured out a lot of cool new things on Photo Impact. I am really starting to get the hang of the program and like working with it. Kate - thanks for starting this thread.

So handy having it broke out separate. Rosiejo - I love your autograph page designs and am planning on using them for our upcoming WDW trip (26 days away but who's counting?). A question for all: Does anyone know what size the pages are in the 'official' autograph books sold at WDW? I'm thinking of slightly shrinking down Rosiejo's designs to fit on 4.25' by 5.5' card stock and am wondering what size paper the characters are used to signing on.
